The Brief

The initial meetings

were held with the team at Baycroft who had a
vision to create a unique luxury care home close
to Orpington in Kent; they chose Countrywide
as their partners to turn the concept into a
finished home.

The brief was to provide a full turnkey package
for a 75 bed new build nursing and dementia
care home with a café area, restaurants, library,
cinema room, hairdressers and all associated
lounges and bedrooms. This was to include
everything from furniture to medical equipment
together with all the finishing touches, even a
water feature in the gardens and baby grand
piano in the main lounge!

The Concept

To develop a home of first class standard

  • Working closely with the Baycroft team
    and Gill Jackson Healthcare Consultants
to create a care facility with a warm
    homely feel
  • The furnishings had to meet the design
brief but also be practical using quality
materials to meet the needs of a busy
    care home
  • To work with the interior designer to
provide fabrics, wood finishes and colours
to create a truly exceptional care home
The Solution

“inspirational development”

75 bedrooms individually furnished with 4
different lounges and dining rooms, together
with a welcoming reception which included
a café with modern seating and tables.

The addition of the two restaurants, library,
children’s play room, cinema, therapy room,
on site hair salon and resident’s gym all add
to the experience of living at Grays Farm.

at what was described at the opening as an
“inspirational development”.

The internal fit out of the home took 10 days
from start to finish and included around
10000 items in all.

We are absolutely delighted with the design and feel of our new flagship development at Baycroft Grays Farm Road; Countrywide Healthcare, in conjunction with interior designer Gill Jackson, worked closely to our brief and were outstanding in turning our aspirations into a luxury finished home.
The Countrywide team completed installation of the seventy-five bed care home over a three week period and coordinated all of the deliveries, assembled and fitted items where required, placed all the furniture and sundry items and made everything happen as we needed it. We have already engaged them for our next project and would highly recommend them to anyone building a new care home who has high standards and needs an experienced and reliable partner to supply all the FF&E.
